The Sony A7CR borrows the super high-resolution 61MP CMOS sensor that we’ve previously seen in the powerful A7R V, meaning if you want the highest resolution in a more portable package, the A7CR is the perfect camera for you. Combined with a new powerful BIONZ X processor, this mirrorless camera delivers impressive processing speeds and image performance – a new AE algorithm also assures brilliant exposures for the skin areas of the face in both still and video modes. As well as functioning quicker, the A7CR offers a sports-friendly continuous shooting rate of 8 frames per second, which comes to life when utilising the camera’s excellent AF, which is notable for its tracking performance. As well as a high-quality EVF, users can employ a touch-sensitive, vari-angle LCD screen, so they can frame their work in a way that suits them.

As with previous S&Q options on Sony cameras, this model provides excellent slow and quick movie options with 5x slow and 60x quick being the highlights. Video highlights of the Sony A7CR include pristine over-sampled 4K video, 4K50p using a 1.2x crop, creative look presets, and high-quality Full HD 120p video – this is great for producing pro-looking slow-motion movies. 4K live streaming is available, so you can start sharing your best work with your followers, without delay.
